10th Annual Developmental Disabilities Policy Conference

The Annual Developmental Disabilities Policy Conference for California, hosted by The Arc of California and the United Cerebral Palsy California Collaboration, focused on all things impacting the developmental disabilities community. Each year the conference brings diverse, relevant topics that have current or future public policy implications for the developmental disability community.

Examples of topics include: Lanterman Act history, California developmental services budget policy issues, senior and disability services, federal policy issues, affordable and accessible housing, Early Start services, voting rights, FASD, health advocacy, direct support professionals, media advocacy, employment supports and services, community living, long-term supports and services, California’s Self-Determination Program, criminal justice, the Home and Community Based Services new rules, and so much more.

Budget Center Director of Research Scott Graves providde an overview of the Governor’s proposed 2017-18 budget, highlighting key issues raised and what can be expected in the near future.
