Tackling Overcrowding in California’s Prisons: Reducing Costs, Considering Alternatives and Rehabilitating Offenders

Hosted by the Public Policy Exchange, this timely symposium will assess the impact of Proposition 57, investigate alternatives for reducing costs and provide the opportunity for discussion and debate for institutions, health providers, community groups and other key stakeholders on the most effective strategies for rehabilitating and supporting offenders to help them lead meaningful lives following their release.

Executive Director Chris Hoene will deliver his presentation Addressing Overcrowding in California’s Prisons: Sentencing Reforms, Decreasing Incarceration Levels, and Reducing Costs for the panel discussion “Assessing the Impact of Proposition 57, Evaluating Strategies to Reduce Costs and Maintain Efficiency. ”
