SACRAMENTO — The California Budget & Policy Center is pleased to announce the launch of its new website — still located at www.calbudgetcenter.org — with a modern, redesigned look that focuses on making the organization’s data, analysis, and must-read reports accessible for advocates, policymakers and staff, media, and the philanthropic community invested in the well-being of all Californians.
The site features resource-rich webpages on some of the most important issues facing Californians including the state budget, early childhood, economic security, and more. The redesigned website also features easy-to-read reports, opportunities to directly connect with policy experts for data assistance, and easy to follow guides on state policy.
“Ensuring people have trusted, reliable information on California policy and the budget that is accessible is a critical part of the Budget Center’s commitment to building a just and equitable state,” said Chris Hoene, the Budget Center’s executive director. “Our website is an important place for people to engage with us and we are thrilled to offer a multitude of resources in a dynamic, modern way.”
The Budget Center worked with Rad Campaign to develop the website, conducting user surveys and testing, and emphasizing the need for a user-friendly, visually engaging, accessible website that highlights the Budget Center’s established brand with content representative of Californians of color and Californians with low and middle incomes. The Budget Center is looking forward to additional website enhancements and partnership with Rad Campaign in the year ahead.
