Strategy & Impact Director
Sasha Feldstein, Strategy and Impact Director, supports the Budget Center in developing effective strategies and meaningful relationships with policymakers, advocates, organizers, and community organizations to advance public policies that create a more just and equitable California. With roots in coalition-building, campaigns, and advocacy, she strives to foster a culture of joy and strategic rigor as she helps to ensure that the team’s work aligns with and advances the Budget Center’s mission.
Sasha has over 15 years of experience providing strategic leadership to organizations looking to build alignment and power across diverse communities in order to advance change on local, state, and national levels. Before joining the Budget Center in 2024, Sasha was the Director of Economic Policy at the California Immigrant Policy Center (CIPC), where she developed and led the Economic Justice portfolio, focusing on supporting worker power and fighting for good jobs, workers’ rights, and an equitable economy for all.
Prior to CIPC, Sasha helped identify and develop partnerships, policy opportunities, and strategic initiatives at Opportunity@Work, Restaurant Opportunities Center-United, American Jewish World Service, and the Urban Justice Center.
Sasha is passionate about building and contributing to progressive movements for economic, social, and racial justice. She thrives when she’s in community and loves gathering friends, especially around the dinner table. She has too many hobbies, her most recent being quilting and boxing.
