SACRAMENTO, CA — Today, the California Budget & Policy Center announced the official date for its 2026 Policy Insights conference, the organization’s premier annual event bringing together experts, advocates, community leaders, philanthropy, and public sector professionals committed to advancing justice and expanding opportunity across California.
The conference will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center in downtown Sacramento.
“As California navigates rising costs of living and an ever-more challenging federal landscape, the need for people-centered state policy has never been more urgent,” said Chris Hoene, executive director of the California Budget & Policy Center. “Policy Insights 2026 will bring together leaders from across the state to share big ideas, deepen understanding of the issues shaping Californians’ lives, and strengthen the collective work needed to ensure everyone — no matter their race, income, or zip code — has the opportunity to thrive.”
Policy Insights 2026 will convene a diverse group of attendees — community and statewide advocates, nonprofit leaders, government officials, legislative staff, researchers, and philanthropic partners — committed to building a more just and equitable California. The full day will feature plenary sessions, workshops, learning labs, and opportunities for meaningful dialogue on critical issues affecting Californians’ lives.
Attendees can expect:
- In-depth plenary sessions tackling state budget challenges and the impact of federal policies on California.
