Andre Clemente (He/Him/His)

Andre Clemente, Human Resources Manager, is responsible for fostering a rich and diverse workplace, overseeing all aspects of employee recruitment and retention at the Budget Center. Partnering closely with the leadership team, Andre helps to develop and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy, aligning with the Budget Center’s broader commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in a manner that deeply values the unique backgrounds and perspectives its staff brings.

Before joining the Budget Center in 2023, Andre gained valuable prior experience as human resources manager at the California Native Plant Society. Here, he played a pivotal role in the organization’s expansion, which saw its staff size and budget double under his tenure. While originally pursuing technical theater and film, Andre has since transitioned to a career in nonprofit people operations work, attaining a Society of Human Resources Professionals (SHRM) Senior Certified Professional (SCP) certificate and working towards a degree in HR and Organizational Behavior at Cal State East Bay.

A dual Filipino and American citizen, Andre spends his free time with his wife and four cats, planning their next adventure — which might be a return to Disneyland, relaxing on the beautiful beaches of the Philippines, or staying local hiking and watching concerts.
