Communications Manager
Kyra Moeller, Communications Manager, develops and executes the Budget Center’s media relations strategies to promote the organization, strengthen its reach, and keep its audiences engaged and informed. Through media training, event promotion, communication campaigns, and more, Kyra aims to amplify the organization’s mission to improve public policies affecting the economic and social well-being of Californians with low and middle incomes.
Before joining the Budget Center in September 2023, Kyra was the public relations coordinator for the Sacramento Kings. She also served as the communications and development associate and AmeriCorps VISTA for Wellspring Women’s Center. She holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from San Diego State University with concentrations in communication, sustainability, and nutrition.
Outside of work, Kyra can usually be found dreaming up interior design ideas, traveling, trying new restaurants, hiking with her dog Olive, or diving into a craft project.
