Expanded CalEITC Is a Major Advance for Working Families

This report examines the expansion of the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC), a refundable tax credit that helps low-earning workers get by. A part of the 2017-18 state budget agreement, the expansion will benefit California workers by extending the credit to previously ineligible self-employed workers and significantly increasing the income limits to qualify for the credit.
